it’s sunday – which means it’s creating dreams come true day. creating dreams come true is a free ongoing e-course and creative community to support you in living your dreams. if you are new, please feel free to join right in. the more creative dreamers the better!
this weekend i am giving a creative visioning workshop at the canadian new thought conference! new thought is a non-religious spiritual philosophy and teaching about empowerment, goodness, our inherent ability to create dreams come true and all sorts of yummy things. the conference brings the canadian new thought community together for a weekend of seminars, workshops, concerts and delicious energy.
while i am away basking in that wonderful energy, my friend jamie ridler is going to be giving you some really beautiful and inspiring ideas and information about creative dreaming. i spoke with jamie earlier in the week and while we were talking i realised “omg! this should be this week’s creating dreams come true post” and so here it is. our conversation is divided up into 2 videos for you:
you can get to know jamie and her inspiring creative world right here and you can learn more about circe’s circle right here – there are also a few recordings of phone calls with circe’s circle alumni there, which are wonderful and inspiring and filled with creating dreams come true energy.
as you can tell, i love love love love what she said about the clematis growing roots. we may not be flowering on the surface, but we can trust that beneath the surface, our dreams are growing roots and getting strong enough to flourish.
i love that. and so…
creative dream assignment: trust
this week we’re going to think about what jamie’s mom said about the clematis growing roots. we’re going to trust that when we’re not seeing progress on the outside, it’s because our dreams and putting down roots beneath the surface.
creative dream check-in
please join the comments below and let us know where your dreams are growing and flowing and where they’re stuck. also share any questions or ideas about this week’s topic, or just say hello. everyone’s dreams grow more fully and beautifully when we grow them together in creative community.
last week’s assignment was to work with the mantra “i believe in myself. i believe in my dreams.“ how did that go for you? are your believing muscles getting stronger?
my check-in:
lots happening here! my new art room is abuzz with activity and exciting projects. as i have been working on my unleash your creative magic coaching packages something shifted… and they now have a new name! how’s this: love your life creative coaching. it is still about unleashing that creative magic that is within you but the focus is really on using that magic to create a life that you are head over heels in love with. i am having so much fun with this! you can get a sneak peak right here.
and i’m joining bindu wiles’ new project: 21.5.800. five days of yoga a week and writing 800 words a day. as jamie and i discussed in the video – community is so key. and this community is coming to me at the exact right time so i am excited about what it will bring.
i will share more next week! the conference ends today so i will be here to read your updates and i am looking forward to that…. it’s so beautiful to see how all of our dreams are growing and shifting and changing together.

Is this a skype video?
How did you do that?
I tell you what! I am thinking about circle’s circle too!
oh rebecca it would be great to be in circe’s circle with you.
it is a skype recording, i use this: http://ecamm.com/mac/callrecorder/ which was recommended by tons of different people and works great.
Hi Andrea,
I was not sure where to post this for you, ties into the art journals–NPR collecting pictures of journal entries to create a database http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=127238417&sc=fb&cc=fp+
thanks molli. that looks really cool!
I’m a little behind this week…but I’ve written a blog:
http://lion-art.blogspot.com/2010/06/i-believe-in-myself-i-believe-in-my.html
And a lot of cool things are happening. I had some great conversations with my herbal sisters in the car ride to class. I was talking about how I still don’t know how or what to do for my herbal cooking workshops/dinners. The phrase “Create It.” Came up. Ever since then I’ve been gently brainstorming ideas and trying to step back and see where my interests are leaning/pulling me. Currently I’m being very drawn to the whole local food thing…seeing where that will lead in terms of creating my dreams for The Lion’s Share…
I also have been working on a new collaborative blog with a friend of mine: http://womenartsalon.blogspot.com/
I’ve been thinking about finally doing a travel writing correspondence course that I bought years ago…
And so far so good with my written piece in the magazine. I saw the layout today and mine is included!
I also got a chance to work on some layouts for the mag this week…so I’m keeping one of the versions for a portfolio piece…and am going to search out the other two layouts I had a hand in. To be well rounded and all :)
Hello Andrea and other fellow creative dreamer
I’m just checking up… This post about trusting my dreams has really worked well.
I was sick for one month and could’nt go to work, I was very ashamed, and on tuesday
I was back to school again with so much good messages from pupils and colleagues.
Very cheerful. So health and good mood are back again.
As far as my dreams are concerned, I didn’t draw about it or so because I really did something toward my goals :
I sent all papers requested for my formation in art-therapy, was accepted and received my password. I can now access to the courses and printed some. There’s much work but it sounds really interesting. Thanks for supporting with your blog post !
lee ann i love your post! and i love all of the possibility swirling around you.
scylliane that is wonderful – sounds like you are taking some big steps!
