New Thought Practitioner

I have been trained and accredited as a New Thought Healing Practitioner and this is the philosophy behind a lot of what I do at the Creative Magic Academy.  I describe it as “a guide, mentor and teacher in the art and science of bringing dreams to life” which is entirely accurate but far too simple.

I spent three years studying New Thought principles and teachings.  The first two years were all about learning how to understand and apply them to my own life, to learn how to consciously direct my life.  Learning how to be a creative genius.

Those two years were filled with transformation and growth.

With each new class I brought the teaching inside and looked at what would be possible for me if I embraced these ideas as my truth.

It’s one thing to read something or learn it or memorize it.  It’s quite another to internalize it and live from it.  So I explored and experimented.  And I faltered and took steps that felt like they were backwards.  I did what I needed to do to integrate and internalize the teachings.

Before these classes, I had spent over 10 years studying on my own, reading books and doing my best with affirmations, positive thinking and visualisation.  Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t, but as soon as I started taking classes everything solidified.  Instead of ideas, the teachings became truths.

As I learned the philosophy behind creative visualisation or conscious manifestation everything started to make sense and my own creative dream path became a lot clearer and simpler.

I started to choose where I wanted my life to go and life responded.

It started first with my finances.  Listening to intuition and staying focused and in the flow of abundance – I made some financial moves that can only be described as magic.

Then it started to get easier to do everything.  Make new friends.  Find that perfect pair of boots.  Exhibit and sell my art.  Put on Creativity Workshops.  Everything really is easier when you’re in the flow.

I grew a profound trust in the process.

And then I went into my third year of training.  The third year was all about learning to use the teachings and tools to help others.

Then I spent a year interning – working one-on-one with clients for free and writing up case studies to show that my work is reliably effective.

People came to me with all sorts of issues.

Sometimes it was just really fun and exciting to help people create something new and amazing in their lives.  Sometimes it was dark and heavy as I went with my clients into their dark shadowy places to help them carve a path out of there.  And often the work felt nothing short of miraculous.

One woman came to me on behalf of a family member who had been trying to conceive.

After years of fertility treatments this couple was at the end of their ropes.  My client spoke to me about all of the hearbreak and the overwhelming stress of it all.  I worked with her, bringing in ease and calm and most importantly – space.  Space for the baby to come in.  Space for it to be ok if the baby doesn’t come.  Sacred Space.  While I was working with my client, the couple got pregnant and had a healthy baby – this was after the Doctors had said there was no hope.

One woman came to me with cancer.

She believed in the power of her own body to heal but didn’t know how to activate it.  She was about to start a highly invasive cancer treatment and asked her Doctor for 30 days to see what she could do with my help and her doctor agreed.  She and I got to work.  Thirty days later she went back to the doctor and the cancer was not gone, but had regressed enough that the treatment was no longer required.

I don’t pretend to be a magician or a miracle worker but I do know how to support people in getting in touch with their own natural ability to heal and create – to get in touch with their creative magic and to live at their full potential.

Most of my case studies are not so dramatic.

But because my clients have had these dramatic healings, and because I have so much evidence that this works – it means that I know that whatever it is you want to heal and whatever it is you want to create in your life – you can do it. Absolutely.  Without a doubt.  You can do it.

And that is the magic behind everything I do in the Creative Magic Academy.

It’s not “pure” New Thought.  It’s New Thought blended with my special mix of creativity, glitter and healing.
