My Heart Chakra Creative Journaling
When I saw this image in a Martha Stewart magazine I knew I had to have it for my heart chakra page.
The green, the little girl, the eggs – it all spoke to me about the feeling behind this energy centre.
As I added the green and started journaling I was again struck mostly by the relationship between this chakra and the one before, my power centre.
Just like how power came out of pleasure, love comes out of power and strength.
It struck me just how much strength it really takes, to be vulnerable.
I thought of how closed most of our world is. I remembered what it was like to have a “normal office job” and how most people I encountered in their regular workdays had very closed heart chakras.
But I’m seeing something new in that now. They’re not closed because they don’t want to be open and loving.
It’s just that they don’t feel strong and powerful enough to be able to be vulnerable, out in the world.
This little girl is a model of strength and courage.
When I first started doing chakra healing I was more focused on the specific centres and what each one had to teach me.
And now it’s all about the relationships between the energy centres and what I can learn there, in how they interact with each other.
The heart chakra is the fourth of seven chakras – so its right in the middle.
It’s the bridge between the physical and the spiritual.
So, even though there shouldn’t be hierarchy in this, I would say that this makes it the most important chakra.
If the heart is open the bridge is open.
And it really feels like a gateway.
An open heart is a gateway into the magic.
I loved working on this page. Celebrating the opening of hearts. Grounding myself in openness and that feeling of feeling strong enough to be vulnerable.
