…And it’s hard to get a place of truth and power about money because there’s just so much bullshit flying around everywhere. It’s like trying to stay dry in the rain without an umbrella or raincoat.

I just wrote those words while working on the Creative with Money Online Play Date materials. 

Money is a really beautiful and helpful thing.

It makes it easier for you to grow your dreams and and live your life in alignment with who you really are.

And yet we hardly ever experience it like that because of all the bullshit about money that is flying around.

The way money is used in our world is completely ridiculous.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.  Money is not inherently bad or wrong or unfair or anything.

Money is just a tool.

Let’s explore what money actually is.

Back in the day, people used to trade things.

I had lots of cupcakes.  And you had lots of watercolour paints.  So we met up and I said “how many cupcakes would you like for this pan of watercolours?”  and you’d say “15″ and I’d say “deal”.  And I would walk away with watercolour paints and you would walk away with cupcakes.

Except, you know, what if you didn’t like cupcakes?  What then?

Would I have to find out what you did want, and hope that person wanted cupcakes, so I could trade with them just so that I could trade with you?  And what if your watercolour paints were all gone by the time I’d done that?

What if I wanted to buy a house?  Where would I find a mortgage broker who needed that many cupcakes?

Trading could be pretty awkward.

So we decided to agree that these coins would represent a certain amount of value.

This way we can all trade our thing for the coins, which was really just a more flexible trade agreement.

And it’s kind of magic.  I can turn cupcakes into these coins that can be traded for anything I want!

And forget cupcakes, I can even turn my brilliant ideas into coins.  How magic is that?

The coins were invented to make things easier.

But over the years, things got complicated.

And our simple, helpful little coins evolved into complicated economic systems.  Complicated economic systems that have done great harm.

But those complicated economic systems – they are not what money is.  They are just systems that some people created.

You’re people.  You can create systems too.

You can change the way money functions in your world.

See, where it gets REALLY magic is when you turn your Creative Genius into coins.

Because Creative Genius is connected to Spirit, Purpose, Creativity, Authenticity and All Things Good and Magical.

Now you’re creating an economic system that is rooted in All Of The Greatest Aspects Of Who You Really Are.

Now you’re getting to a place of truth and power around money.

Then, at the same time: use your coins to invest in your Creative Genius.

This creates an abundance loop.

Inside the abundance loop, the system itself fuels and nurtures everything in the system. So you, your Creative Genius, your Creative Dreams and your coins – all keep growing in abundance.  Rooted in spirit.

Money, the way it’s being done out in our world, doesn’t create an abundance loop effect.  If anything there are fear/scarcity loops.  Or bullshit loops.

And what I love most about the abundance loop is that it is you who invests in you to get the loop flowing.

Your success rests in your own hands.

This means that wherever you are with money right now – that is the perfect place to start.

I know this is obvious but it’s also where most people get stuck.

You don’t have to wait for something to change first. 

The magic and power are right now in your current situation.  The answer and the way through is right there in your current situation.

You already have everything you need to do anything you want.

You just have to get creative with it.

Taking a creative and internal approach to money honours your power and your magic and makes impossible things possible.

It’s plugging into your Infinite Creative Potential.  In alignment with purpose and spirit and integrity.

It’s a beautiful, healing approach to money.
