Surprising and Fascinating Things

The Summer of Dreams is shifting into high gear and I am having a blast.

Weekly (sometimes twice weekly!) beach trips! Picnics! All with creative journaling supplies and the Creative Dream Incubator materials packed into bright summer beach bags.

Giving my dreams (and me!) some fresh air and sunshine.

I’m moving into Module 2 of the Creative Dream Incubator which is Essence: Connecting with the Heart of your Dream.

And in connecting with the Heart of my Dream I am learning surprising and fascinating things!

(That always happens)

Underneath it all, it’s the Creative Dream Incubator work I’ve been doing that led to the knot in my stomach that led to the idea of making big changes to this blog, and to my business in general – bringing everything into deeper, truer, brighter alignment with my new dreams.

And even when change is very, very good, it’s still change.

It’s important to take special care of you as you move through change.

But since change moves you into the unknown you won’t always know what it is you need, because everything has changed.  Confusing!

There’s so much to process and explore and discover!

I decided to start with my blog.  To say hello and start a conversation about how everything is changing and see where it goes…

As soon as I said hello I felt the need to re-assure my old blog that the fancy new private Advanced Creative Badassery blog isn’t better or more important than it.  Just different.

And then the lake image came to me.  The Lake of Profound Inner Transformation.

And I saw how this blog is the beach and the Advanced Creative Badassery blog is the depths.

The beach is the path to the depths.  It’s also a fun place to play and hang out.

And Soul Refreshment! Very important.

With that established, I thought I’d also say hello to the new Advanced Creative Badassery blog.

Badass mermaids are present. Inspiration is flowing. Purpose is clear.  Magic is happening.

So of course that part is solid and good.

But I was not feeling 100% solid and good about all this stuff changing.  I wasn’t really sure what to focus on and what to do first and how to do stuff…

Little side note here: Often when I hear people saying that they don’t know “how it’s all going to work” or “what it all looks like” they use that as a reason to not proceed.

THIS IS NOT A REASON TO NOT PROCEED.

In fact – you can’t know how it’s all going to work or what it’s going to look like until it’s done.

Waiting until you know how it’s all going to work and what it’s all going to look like is essentially locking your dreams up in a box and throwing away the key.  Not a good plan.

So I turned the page and asked myself how I wanted to feel in the changes and this is what happened:

Creative Journal Page

Understanding what it is I need in the transition made it clear that it was time to say hello to the new blog, the blog that ABCcreativity is becoming, and find out what it needs in the transition.

And I discovered that we are on the same page (yay!) and that if I give myself what I need then I can easily give the new blog what it needs.

And I found the perfect solution: Creative Journal Magic my way into being centered in the change.

And I realised that as I do this, sharing photos and bits of inspiration as I go, right here on the blog, I’m creating space on the blog for the new blog to begin to emerge, right now.

And that this can be a smooth happy clear easy transition.

And, as always, I don’t have to know what I’m doing, before I do it.

All the magic and all the power are right here right now in this moment and in taking the step that is in front of me to take.

So I’m taking it.

My plan is to work with the Creative Journal Magic Kit.  I’ll do one lesson from the kit every day and fill at least one page in my big sketchbook journal each day, until I’ve worked through the kit.

Some days I may repeat or expand on yesterday’s lesson, if it feels like there is more to explore, so I don’t know how long this will take.

I’ll post daily creative journal photos on our Facebook page.

And share stories on my blog – weekly or more often, depending what’s happening.

If there are dreams you want to move towards this summer, I encourage you to pick up the Creative Journal Magic Kit and join me in this.

I’ll start next week, after I get back from my trip to the World Domination Summit in Portland.

The Summer of Dreams is sponsored by the Creative Dream Incubator, Creative Journal Magic and all things bright and sparkly.
