Last week I shared how everything is changing and I don’t really know what to do.
Then I went to the World Domination Summit in Portland and everything changed again/more.
And the truth is: you can’t create something new without delving into uncertainty/unknown/chaos.
It’s completely impossible.
And yet every time when I’m at this point in the journey, it’s uncomfortable and annoying and I wish for a clear path.
(That’s why I started teaching live workshops on creating a clear path to get to where you want to be, which later became the Create a Map kit. My mapping process makes the uncertainty easier to navigate but does not make it disappear completely.)
So here I am: Uncertainty. Change. Chaos. This is as good a place to start as any.
My decision was to use my Creative Journal Magic Kit every day, to journal my way to finding my center in the midst of all of this change.
It’s Day One and I am already tempted to cheat.
I open up the kit and see the first lesson about commitment and I’m all UGHRGH. Commitment. This is stupid. And annoying! I don’t need this. Maybe I’ll skip ahead….
Oh, hello resistance.
I journaled through the resistance and was so surprised and delighted to discover that actually making a Solid Written Down Commitment felt like RELIEF.
Relief!
I can put myself in the process.
And then trust the process.
And know that I’m going to get there.
And not have to know how.
(Trying to figure out how is what drives you crazy and gets you nowhere.)
So here I am, in the process.
Feeling intense relief that I have made this commitment to journal every day.
Still in the midst of layers and layers of change with loads of uncertainty but, having made this commitment to stay in the process, I am trusting that with each step I take, more magic is going to open up.
