Journal Parties are free, one-hour creative playdates where we hang out together with our journals and chat. I’ll pick a few journaling prompts to get us started and then we’ll just play together… journaling, chatting, exploring.
The magic of journaling plus the support of community.
Journal parties will happen live online on streaming video. Plus they’ll all be recorded so if you can’t be there live you can journal along with us while you watch the replay.
Even though we’re all in our own homes for this, it’s amazing how we all end up feeling less alone by the end of the hour. Journal Parties are magic!
I’ll host them, and each one has a special guest (a journaling teacher that I admire) and *everyone* is invited to play with us! If you haven’t been to a Journal Party before you can scroll down this page to the Archives sections to watch replays from past parties – they are so fun!
Our next journal party is happening in November.
Journal Party Archives:
September 12 our special guest was Liz Lamoreux from Soul Mantras!
Liz Lamoreux is on a path to help you build a bridge between daily life and the longings you have inside you. She believes in the power of daily practice, in taking five deep breaths (often), and that magic is found when women circle.
Most days you can find her in her studio creating stories through her writing and jewelry designs, but in that precious time right after dinner, you just might spot her dancing to the Hamilton soundtrack with her seven-year-old daughter.
This journal party had such a beautiful, calm vibe – like lounging around with your besties on a Saturday afternoon.
Aug 1 our special guest was Hali Karla
Hali is a contemplative artist & guide who loves inviting others into heart-centered presence + growth through holistic creative practice and birth chart explorations.
We had such a beautiful talk about stillness and creative practice and navigating the vulnerability of sharing our authentic selves with the world.
June 13 our special guest was Connie Solera.
Connie Solera is an artist, writer, and creative instigator with over 20 years experience teaching art professionally, a lifetime of slapping paint around, a fervent entrepreneurial spirit, and a burning devotion to all things creative, wild, and true. You can find her at Dirty Footprints Studio.
Connie is another person I have known since I started out online – a true creative kindred spirit. If you don’t know her yet, I know you’re going to love her.
May 16 our special guest was Effy Wild!
Effy Wild is a magpie mystic, journal artist, and teacher, and you can find her at effywild.com
I have known Effy for almost as long as I have been online. She is one of the most radically honest, loving and encouraging people I know.
This one was amazing.
April 24 our special guest was Jamie Ridler.
From coaching to workshops, from podcasting to blogging, creative living expert Jamie Ridler helps women find the confidence and courage to discover and express their creative selves so they can be the star they are.
You can find her at Jamie Ridler Studios.
Jamie is one of the first “coaching friends” I made when I became a creativity coach. She is warm and inspiring and deeply dedicated to supporting creative people in stepping into their dreams.
Once again, the hour just flew by as we explored together.
