{intention} nourish

weekly intentionEvery monday, I share my intention for the week and welcome you to do the same.

This is not about setting goals or creating to-do lists and working our tails off to achieve them. This is about taking some time to be quiet and still and ask “What do I need this week?” and setting an intention from there to align yourself with that. It’s about paving the way for success, joy and dreams come true to find you throughout the week.

Last week’s I had a clear intention and boy did I clear! I cleared out my 2 fullest closets and gave away a trunkfull of stuff… then started re-filling the truck as I keep going, clearing out the rest of the house. And not just clearing space but re-arranging space and creating spaces that will really serve me.

Like a more spacious office area in my art room. A better organised sewing area. A bedroom with more calm, open space.  And getting rid of all of the things that just aren’t needed as I open this new chapter in my life.

Opening up space for possibility, creativity and opportunity to flow in.

And this week I want to build on that… move into clearing out and opening up space in my schedule and routines. Building routines, structures and systems that nurture me and my creative energy.  Actually, my plan is to spend all month working on different aspects of this.

Without routines, systems and structures I tend to get lost and overwhelmed. All of the routines, systems and structures I had fit around me having a part time job and now it’s time to review them, throw out what isn’t going to fit now, and bring in some new stuff.

That’s a pretty huge job, so I am working on one aspect of it each week and then I’ll see where I am at the end of the month.

Clearing out my physical space was a good place to start.  And now it’s time to move on to: grocery shopping and cooking.  My aim here is to plan ahead and only grocery shop once a week.  AND do meal prep once a week so when it comes time to eat – I just assemble and heat.  HUGE shift for me and I am really excited about.  It feels like so much time and energy will be freed up when I am no longer asking myself “What am I going to have for lunch?” and no longer going grocery shopping several times a week.

So my intention this week: nourish.

Congrats! On making progress in your clearing. If you come across material you want to get rid of send it my way- I’ll pay for the shipping :). The picture of you on your bed inspired me to create my office like a Hookah lounge. I want Indian colored prints draping from the walls creating a warm, cozy, inspiring art room.

My intention this week is to surrender. I found myself stuck in the idea of how my eCourse HAD to be last night and didn’t know what to create in that frame of mind. When I let go of what I thought it had to look like, it allowed me to create something much more powerful.

I need a serious clear out too! I think I’m going to make this week’s intention all about keeping up my morale and trust that things will work out for the best.

My intention for the Year, to let go of New York, is weighing a little heavy on me…but I wrote a blog post that addresses all this yesterday:

I set my intention of the week to healing… simply because I’ve got the flu for about two weeks !
    Sending you good vibes

I completely understand the need to clear–I’ve had to do that around my house, my head, and my work space before. Everything feels so light, clean, tidy, and spacious after a good clear–even my soul.

Last week’s intention was to move, in the direction of my yearly intention to BE! I’ve done some of that…see my post for this week.

As always, wishing you the best! See ya soon!

PS Trish and I are planning a collage session with everyone at her house this month–we’re aiming for January 16th of 30 (Sundays both). One of us will get in touch with you soon!

    Hey Andrea,

Glad your clearing is working out for you.

Megan, I don’t know what it is with you & I, but we seem to be on similar tracks.

My intention this week is acceptance.

I was doing the bonus homework about creating something & what came to mind didn’t fit with the examples. I was thinking it wasn’t right, it should be some journaling or something else. But what came was creating a dance. A dance without music, something that comes in the moment from my soul.

I woke up this morning to a very vivid dream. In it was a grouse. No mistake about it. My dream was very clear that this was a grouse. It was twirling around in circles, trying to nest. I woke up remembering this dream, thinking it was very strange. Then I remembered my Animal Cards had a grouse in it. When I looked it up, it had something do do along the lines of a sacred spiral. Basically, it mentioned that the grouse would dance in a spiral to get in touch with it’s sacred creative intention. It also spoke of how the Sufi danced their twirling dervish as a form of motion meditation.

That’s when I realized that my idea to create a dance without music was for me to do a moving meditation to get in touch with the creative aspect of my soul.

So, this week, I would like to be in acceptance of whatever is. What comes to me is right for where I am right now. Where I am, is o.k. What I am doing is good enough.

“A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.” – Oscar Wilde.

I am blessed to be walking in the moonlight with all of you dreamers. ;0)

Thanks so much for sharing this – you just don’t know how much I needed it!

This week my intention is to focus. On the little things, on me, on my surroundings.
