My aim for 2018 is the same as for every year – to make the Circle better than it was the year before.
In 2017 this meant adding group coaching calls on specific topics – to build up the library so that when you come across a stumbling block on the path to your dream, there is some support there for you.
(And of course I will still add to those calls as needed in 2018 – I want to make sure the Circle has the resources you need as you continue along your path. Like I know I didn’t get to the call on focus like I said I would, so I will schedule that one for early 2018)
As we shift into 2018 is that the Year of Dreams 2017 ends and the Year of Dreams 2018 begins – this happens officially on Dec 31, 2017.
I am REALLY proud of this one!! I just love how I started the Year of Dream 2016 with this big idea but no clue how to make it happen. So I did my best. And then for 2017 I took everything I learned from the 2016 version and made it way better.
And now I am doing that again.
Giving creative ideas the time and space they need to grow and evolve is magic!
We start the New Year in the Circle with a Vision Party (live visioning class) on Jan 9, to work out your vision of what you want your life to be in 2018.
Then we’ll do three Vision Check-In calls throughout the year where you can check in with your vision, make any adjustments needed, and get coaching and support for staying on the path.
The Vision Kit is a new addition to the Year of Dreams – I added it to help you get more clear on where you want your Year of Dreams to take you. I think it will make your weekly journaling in the Year of Dreams more fun and fulfilling because you’ll have that sense of focus.
You’ll also get the new Dream Plan Kit in the Year of Dreams 2018.
We had a Dream Plan Kit in 2017 – this one is very much revised to be more helpful for all aspects of planning and project management.
It covers: processing ideas for new projects so you know which ones to even focus on, turning ideas into plans, project management, maintaining momentum once you’ve got a good plan and what to do when you don’t know what to do. Plus cut + paste calendars so you can turn your journal into your own personalized daytimer.
It still includes detailed a 2 hour class on creative planning and project management.
Then you get the weekly Year of Dreams cut and paste journaling prompt sheets – a new one every Sunday all year long. Plus new monthly reflection + visioning sheets.
(The Year of Dreams description page is here and I’ll have a new video where I share the actual pages with you there soon)
But the Big Thing for 2018 is that I will be adding new programs to the Circle!
These are Creative Dream Alchemy programs – the inner work of creating outer change.
I feel like my work is taking a big evolutionary step with these – like they will be both easier to use and more helpful than any of the classes I have created until now.
I have been working on these new programs since the summer, but the past little while they’ve been on hold so I could focus on getting the Year of Dreams totally ready. I’ll have more info about these in the new year.
And I am working on making a significant upgrades to our website.
This has been a few years in the making. The new site has an improved forum (for masterminds and just chatting with other Circle members) and an improved online classroom that makes it easier to work through the lessons step by step and chart your progress as you do.
Of course I am keeping our super awesome map:
And I will add new sections to it as needed!
There are also a few really cool new features to the new site to help you set intentions/goals for what you want the Circle to help you create in your life.
With this cool new site in the works, it felt off to put the Year of Dreams 2018 onto the old site, and then move everything over in early 2018.
So I’m doing it now!
For the past few weeks I have been moving all of our classes and tools – there is HUNDREDS of things to move, and some of those things have multiple videos – playbooks – audios. It’s a pretty daunting task, so I started out doing one small thing at a time and then the momentum slowly started to build and now I’m really making progress.
It’s slow, but it’s also super amazing! So beautiful to look back on my work, to remember creating all of this and read the comments on and remember just how much this work has helped people!
We have a beautiful Circle as it is and using that as the foundation to make an even better Circle – well this is the kind of thing that makes my heart sing.
So I am really enjoying this process of moving everything over and looking at every aspect of everything for how to make it even better and easier to use.
It’s beautiful and also exhausting to mentally process all of these details and make all of these decisions.
Winter is really the ideal time to do this kind of work – every evening I am snuggled in bed around 7 with my hubby and Starfish the wonder cat and our books and tablets. We turn on the twinkle lights and burn candles and drink tea and go into hibernation mode.
I just don’t have the energy for anything else but I am really happy in that ” I am absolutely creatively spent” kind of way.
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, I will have our new website finished by late December so that we can start the new year in our new site.
I will leave the old site available for a month or so if you want to take any of your own posts and copy them over to the new site. That is the only crappy thing about the new site – I can move all of the content over but not your posts/comments/conversations.
For the classes, I am going to go in and copy all of the questions about each class and put them into the comments section of the new site. It really helps when people come in and do the class, if they can see the questions, comments and discussion that has already happened in that class. But I can’t do that for the masterminds and sharing circles – it’s just too many comments.
Of course I’ll make new welcome videos to give you a tour of the new site and show you how to use everything.
I can’t wait to share this with you!
