I've been leaning HARD on my self-care practices to help me make space for myself, to process my feelings, and figure out how to show up right now so I'm not just frozen in fear. I feel this is saving me right now and I'd like to share it with you.

The end of the year is a really good time for this work, to let go of what you don't want to carry with you into 2020.

Given the fact that my Centered Grounded Present Coaching Group starts today, my judging self has been having a field day with this, of course. Like how can I teach/share this stuff if I can't manage to do it myself? Last week I was journaling and I noticed that when I tried to admit what I *really* want, like just to myself in my journal, my mind would jump over to this place of listing all the reasons I can't have it. Like:
Well yeah I want ______ but I don't want to do do a bunch of annoying work to get it.
I would be so happy if I had _____ but that would mean I would have to _____ and that would suck.
I wish I could just ______ but to do that I need to ______ and that never works.

I am a morning person. I do usually bound out of bed excited to start a new day, that is a major benefit of being self-employed doing the things you love most. But yesterday I could not get moving. Everything I tried to do felt wrong. I felt heavy, like I was moving through concrete. By 9:30 am all I could do was take a nap. VERY unusual for me. My husband and I are getting winter tires put on our car. (Yes - I got rid of my car and became a cyclist 4 years ago. Then when I got married my husband and I bought a car together - he uses it most of the time.) My husband needs the car for his job as a social worker, so we called around to find someone who could book an appointment in advance, first thing in the morning, so he could just come into work 1 hour late and then skip lunch. The car guy said for sure he could be done in an hour....
