Spiritual Life Coaching For Creatives

You have to let go of what you have to make space for what you want

Reflection + Release. This work is a way to make space for what you want.

So often you want what you want but you're holding on to what you have so what you want has no space to arrive in your life.

The end of the year is a really good time for this work, to let go of what you don't want to carry with you into 2020.

I feel like I have a LOT to reflect upon and release in order to step into the vibe I want for 2020. I mean - 2020! A whole new decade!

But sometimes this work is...

It is so vulnerable to have a dream.

Andrea at the cosmic waterfall

Even now that I have so many of my dreams as my daily life, it's still SO vulnerable to admit to myself what I want next and figure out how to move towards it.

Our deepest issues of worthiness and belonging get stirred up fresh with each new dream. This happens because your dream will always push you towards the places in you that are the most in need of healing.

***This healing is what fuels the growth that is needed to reach your new dream***

Even though I understand the...

61% Excited, 39% Wanting to Hide. But it changes by the minute.

This morning in meditation my dream pushed a set of blueprints over to me.

This is what we’re building. Let’s keep that vision crystal clear so that you know how to move towards it without making anything smaller.

While there is a part of me who is enthusiastic and excited to leap ahead towards my dreams, there is also this part of me that wants to veer back into my comfort zone.

And that part of me LOVES to re-adjust my plans to make...

These past few weeks I've been VERY MUCH NOT centered, grounded or present.

Given the fact that my Centered Grounded Present Coaching Group starts today, my judging self has been having a field day with this, of course.  Like how can I teach/share this stuff if I can't manage to do it myself? And I am, rightfully, critical of people who try to present themselves as gurus before they've even put in the time to achieve mastery... But that's not what's happening here.

The path to a thing usually involves dealing with opposite of the thing.

Like the path to a dream...

I am terrified to admit what I really want.

Last week I was journaling and I noticed that when I tried to admit what I *really* want, like just to myself in my journal, my mind would jump over to this place of listing all the reasons I can't have it. Like:

Well yeah I want ______ but I don't want to do do a bunch of annoying work to get it.

I would be so happy if I had _____ but that would mean I would have to _____ and that would suck.

I wish I could just ______ but to do that I need to ______ and that never works.

So instead of...

Yesterday I took a nap at 9:30 am.

I am a morning person. I do usually bound out of bed excited to start a new day, that is a major benefit of being self-employed doing the things you love most. But yesterday I could not get moving. Everything I tried to do felt wrong. I felt heavy, like I was moving through concrete. By 9:30 am all I could do was take a nap. VERY unusual for me. I actually lay in bed and meditated until I fell asleep, which felt amazing. And I woke up feeling clearer. I could see how hard it was to get to...

Getting Angry Is A Part Of Your Dream Path Too

My husband and I are getting winter tires put on our car. (Yes - I got rid of my car and became a cyclist 4 years ago. Then when I got married my husband and I bought a car together - he uses it most of the time.) My husband needs the car for his job as a social worker, so we called around to find someone who could book an appointment in advance, first thing in the morning, so he could just come into work 1 hour late and then skip lunch. The car guy said for sure he could be done in an hour....

De-mystifying the process of transformation.

The process of transformation is so fascinating and mysterious!

I would like to de-mystify some parts of it, by creating a series of case studies so you can look more deeply into the nuts and bolts of how it works. The case studies will be free to access both on my blog and in the Dream Lab (my free e-course). Each case study will focus on one very specific issue. Something like:

  • I don't know what my dream is.
  • I don't know what to do next to move towards my dream.
  • My dream seems impossible...

What if my dream is to find a relationship?

What if my dream is to find a relationship?

Often people think their dream of finding that right partneris not, like, a real dream.

Like a real dream is something concrete that you can work towards: a solo show in an art gallery, a novel written, a trip around the world.

A real dream is a thing where you can take steps, work hard, and get there eventually.

Finding the right person seems to be a lot more about luck and just waiting for the right time and maybe going on a lot of shitty first dates.

Not to mention that sometimes wanting to...
