Getting stuck is the worst!
But it’s also an integral part of the process of bringing a dream to life. It’s in exploring the stucks where you find the treasure/gifts/insights that will ultimately propel you forward.
THIS IS A PART OF THE WORK. It’s important to recognize this, to NOT see being stuck as evidence that you’re failing at your dream. Being stuck only means that your next steps need to be about getting un-stuck.
Growth is messy and uncomfortable sometimes! We tend to think it means something is wrong, but it really doesn’t.
When I first left my job to do the Creative Dream Incubator as my full time job in Jan 2011, there was a period where every day I felt like I was in the jungle with nothing but a machete and my intuition to figure out which direction to go in and how to build the path.
Things were messy and uncomfortable for a while.
Growing a dream is about growing yourself which is going to be a messy, uncomfortable process at times. The important thing to do with the mess and discomfort is to stay with it. The more you can embrace these times as a natural part of the process the easier it becomes to move through them.
Here's how the Creative Dream Incubator can help:
This is a part of the Map of the Creative Dream Circle. The linked content will only be accessible to Circle members.
The Un-Sticking Station is the ultimate de-stuckifier. It works on all stucks – inner stucks like fear, self-doubt and inner critics as well as outer stucks – the external obstacles that pop up from time to time or a lack of resources for growing your dream.
Sometimes you get so stuck you avoid the Un-Sticking Station! In those times, check out the video for when you’re avoiding the Un-Sticking Station.
There is an entire LIBRARY of Inner Work alchemy processes in Creative Dream Alchemy! They cover: self doubt, inner critics, procrastination, overwhelm, fear, letting go, disappointment, getting better at HEARING your inner voice, being braver, coming back to yourself and some really fun ways to play with energy fields + alchemy experiments for bringing more of what you want into your inner world.
Dream Book is all about creating a CONTAINER for holding you in the process of moving through your obstacles while you GROW into your dream. Even when you feel stuck with your dreams, you CAN do the weekly journaling kits + Dream Book pages which WILL help you learn about how to get un-stuck.
Participating in our daily miracle mastermind posts helps you stay more grounded and steady on the path which makes it easier to keep moving when things get messy. On Fridays I share prompts for weekly reflection and encourage everyone to do them with me – the practice of weekly reflection can also help clean up some of the messy parts.
Module 4 of the Creative Dream Incubator is all about transforming your comfort zone and working with fear.
Treasure Mapping can be a fun way to map your way around a stuck!
When you have a particularly resilient or ongoing stuck, you can use the Inspiration Cards Class to make a deck of cards all about your stuck. Go through that class – there are 7 journeys you take to gather inspiration for your cards – working with the intention to create a deck of cards that helps you clear your stuck.
Being stuck can feel so crappy! The Energy Clearing audio can help you start to feel better.
If you’re so stuck it feels like your dream has fallen apart check out the What do when your dream falls apart audio.
If your stuck is about feeling jealous my video about The Comparison Monster and what to do about it will help. I did an interview with Samie Harding on being an artist with a chronic illness which is helpful if your stuck is related to an illness. I did an tele-class with Liz Lamoreux called poetry is a lifeline which offers another way of working with your difficult feelings.
The You Are Doing Amazing meditation can help make it easier to stay with the mess.
Your membership give you access to ALL of my classes - the Netflix of Creative Dreams!
They are all listed on your personal dashboard which shows you how much of each class you have completed (that feature only works if you are using the check boxes to check off your progress as you work through the lessons).
This map, which is really an index, helps you find a class based on what you want to explore and gives some tips + ideas for different ways of working with the material depending on what you want to do.
