I’ve been thinking about the dreams that DON’T get encouraged by this world. The artists who are not understood. The healers who can’t put a sales funnel together if their life depended on it. The dreamer who gets told to be realistic.
We carry the medicine that the world needs.
This is true of everyone. If you’re alive now, you have medicine the world needs now.
When it feels like the world doesn’t appreciate what you have to offer… remember that it’s DOMINANT CULTURE that doesn’t appreciate what you have to offer.
THE WORLD ITSELF is very much cheering for your dreams. The whole universe wants your dreams to come true!
If your dreams will challenge dominant culture in any way then you’re going to have an uphill battle there. AND because you grew up inside dominant culture you’ll have inner voices that will doubt your worth because of it.
This is why you have to be working on three different fronts at once with your dreams:
DREAM WORK: SPEND MORE TIME SITTING WITH THE VISIONARY INSIDE YOU WHO UNDERSTANDS THE MAGIC AND POWER OF WHAT YOU ARE DOING. LET THIS PART OF YOU HAVE MORE SAY IN YOUR LIFE.
INNER WORK: SIT WITH THE SELF DOUBT THAT GETS SPARKED, MAKE SPACE FOR HEALING THESE PLACES IN YOU OR ELSE THEY WILL DERAIL EVERY PLAN YOU MAKE.
OUTER WORK: KEEP MAKING THE ART!
When you tie these three together - this is the ALCHEMY that makes dreams real.
