When the dream does not feel like you wanted it to feel

We had this fantastic conversation about THIS DOES NOT FEEL LIKE I WANTED IT TO FEEL, on a recent group call in the membership. (Members: Access call replay and upcoming call schedule here)

How, after years and years of dreaming and yearning, the thing can actually start to happen… and how it’s so thrilling at first and you want it just be thrilled and excited and happy beyond measure… but it starts to get annoying.

Birthing a dream is a miracle and parts of it are also a pain in the ass.

You’re not doing it wrong if it doesn’t feel like you wanted it to.

Sit with your feelings. Tend to them and find out what they need which will help you know what you need. (Members: use the Un-Sticking Station! I know you're not stuck but these are such good practices for uncomfortable feelings)

“I want to feel good about this and enjoy the process of my dream coming to life” can be a mini-dream within a dream!

You can make a Dream Book for this dream, get in there and really look at the inner and outer aspects of it and find out what this dream needs from you.

There are TONS of valid reasons why you may really hate the process of your dream actually happening, such as:

Deep worthiness issues surface, which had been buried when you didn’t have the dream, but now that this is really happening - do you deserve it?

Or maybe all of your inner serves are cool with this dream… BUT… getting this dream opens the door to the next dream and something about that is terrifying.

Sometimes you work so hard for a dream, and then when you get it, it turns out it’s actually not what you wanted. This is heartbreaking! So you need to tend to that heartbreak before you’ll be able to learn from this, then use what you learn to refine your vision, and set after what you really want.

Sometimes some parts of it are ANNOYING! Messy, hard work, tedious work, etc. Working with your Dream Self can help you find ways to approach these parts that make them more enjoyable for you.

All of the reasons are VALID.

There isn't anything wrong when you don't feel the way you wanted to feel.

Keep noticing: How do I feel? How do I want to feel? What helps me feel the way I want to feel? How can I bring more of that into my day?

Keep practicing. You're doing great.
