Every Monday in 2025 there will be a new journal prompt in the Year of Hope classroom in the Creative Dream Incubator Coaching Membership.
Get this week's journal prompt here.
I'd love to hear your thoughts! Leave them in the comments at the bottom of that page so we can discuss this as a group. Practicing hope in community is MAGIC.
Last week I wrote: this year of practicing hope has been so subtle and deep and healing.
It's really changed things for me, in the way that SHOWING UP EVERY DAY always does.
ALWAYS!
IF!
You keep showing up when it's hard/boring/annoying.
I have a lot of love, enthusiasm and excitement for the planner I bought for this project, and for the idea of finishing the year with this planner FILLED.
That was what kept me going, to be honest, when I felt bored/frustrated/stuck with my relationship with hope. It's also easier for me when I offer it as a program in he membership, which I did with this because then I have a reason beyond my own needs/interest to keep showing up.
At this point, my practice has come full circle. I am back to just... hoping for things.
On Monday I sat down, after my meditation and journaling, and took out my Year of Hope planner and I wrote THIS WEEK I HOPE FOR: and filled the page with my hopes.
The first thing that came to mind surprised me so much.
But my hope felt genuine, so I followed it and it re-arranged my work schedule, or the way I saw a few projects going.
It was this tangible view of: HOPE CHANGES THINGS.
Hope, wish, dream... they are all kind of the same. Beautiful things! Time spent dreaming is never wasted, this can be a healing practice.
CREATIVE DREAMING... that's different. There is this intention behind it that you are CREATING this dream. You are bringing it into the physical world and giving it life. This becomes mystical and powerful.
Not all things we dream of are things for us to CREATIVE DREAM.
It's still valuable to dream. It's perspective-expanding and can be very healing to give yourself space to DREAM without any intention of DOING.
When we ALWAYS approach our dreams as "things we better make happen" we can end up limiting what we dream of to what we feel capable of doing in the moment.
And dreams are meant to GROW us.
Our dreams are meant to GUIDE us.
So, in addition to all the ways we are being these mystical powerful creatures birthing dreams into this dimension... we ALSO need to make space to just... listen to the dreams our souls want to offer us next.
