Yesterday we had our Marketing As A Creative + Spiritual Practice call for February.

I've been thinking about it ever since... what it means to show up and share our gifts in the world as it is now.
How some people do want to focus on facing the darkness, and see this as an opportunity for the kind of reckoning that could help change the culture going forward.
And some people want to focus more fully on bringing in more SOUL.
And how all of us felt like... we need to be more deeply grounded and rooted in our own medicine, magic and gifts. Which makes a lot of sense to me, the world around us feels less stable for many of us, so we need to root in more deeply.
And many of us are looking at different ways of working with other people and organizations.
Like - things are changing. And the change is showing up in all sorts of ways.
Marketing as a Creative + Spiritual Practice calls start with a 40-ish minute meditation where we go deep into how we are sharing our gifts and how they are being received and the energy of everything that is going on there.
In my meditation, when I looked at how I feel about sharing my gifts more loudly... the feeling that came up was SAFETY.
Which is wild to me.
Safety is not anything close to how this has ever felt for me.
Not that danger was a big player... but fear, uncertainty and overwhelm certainly have been.
But right now, I feel more safe to share my gifts because I feel more certain about where they are needed.
Which is just interesting to me.
As things change, things change.
I am saying a little prayer that things continue to change.
That we ALL feel solid and capable about sharing our gifts with the world, in the ways that feel right for us for where we are.
Sharing our gifts can be so loaded. It can become more about business training, chasing after conventional definitions of success, compromising your values to "get results", over-working, pressure, exhaustion, pushing ourselves, endless striving to get ahead, and trying to EARN worthiness through success as an affirmation of your value as a person.
I do these calls every month so we can explore how to share our gifts in the ways that feel right for us for where we are... without any of that nonsense, or with as little of it as possible because sometimes we do have to make compromises to make a living in the systems we currently live in.
It does't have to be about many money at all. It's about how we feel when we are doing the things that light us up, and then sharing that with others. There are so many ways to do that.
