The desire to offer your gifts to the world is such a profound human need. It’s a part of who we are.
If you did a deep dive with the links I shared yesterday you saw it…. what Maslow found so interesting in that Blackfoot community he visited was that the majority of people were self actualized.
What he maybe didn't understand is that in the Blackfoot culture they understood that are BORN self actualized. Connected to their gifts. And so the work is to use their gifts to help others and support the community.
But when this idea is brought this back into the lens of colonial/capitalist culture, the work is to figure out, on an individual level, how to meet all of your needs so that you get to a place where self actualization is possible.
Which just sounds like a recipe for burnout!!!
Which is what we STILL experience when pursuing our dreams.
How we balance the meaning, healing, fulfilment and joy we get from our dreams with the practicalities of taking care of our lives is the big quagmire of creative dreaming.
Sometimes we achieve balance, sometimes we’re juggling wildly, sometimes NONE of the pieces will fit together.
But the one thing that tends to help is to put our dreams AT THE CENTRE OF OUR LIVES.
Because our dreams are how our soul shows us who we are, this means putting OURSELVES at the centre of our lives.
To try to see it all less as a hierarchy (you have to get the "important" needs met before you can play with your dreams) and more as a circle that can hold everything at once.
And because we don't live in a culture that supports us - putting our dreams at the centre is only possible when we have a supportive, nourishing and soul-centred way of working with our dreams that is multi-dimensional and non-linear and helps us plug into deeper magic.
AKA… Creative Dream Alchemy.

If you start doing working with your dream in this way with whatever small amounts of time you have available to you, things will shift and your dream will grow.
Otherwise, you’re waiting and wishing for something outside of you to change before you can have space for your dreams.
And as capitalism has shifted into late stage capitalism - that is just not likely to happen.
The world is incredibly stressful. Our dreams are the anecdote. We cannot wait for the world to give us space to dream, we have to CLAIM THAT SPACE for ourselves.
Today is our Marketing as a Creative + Spiritual Practice call.
It’s not about tactics. This is about the SPIRITUAL practice of activating and sharing your gifts, and the CREATIVE practice of making your gifts visible and putting yourself out there in a way that the people you work is for can see it.
This call starts with a 40 minute meditation where we look at how this is working for you right now, and listen to your soul and the soul of your business (if you have one, it’s not necessary!) about what is needed next to help you achieve your goals. If you do this with me regularly over time you can make some big progress on your goals, in ways that feel ALIGNED and ALIVE for you and DO fit in with what else is happening in your life.
If the tactics and strategies for sales and marketing are on the surface, this meditation is in the deep end, where we look at the relationships between all of these things. The relationship between you and your gifts, between you and how you offer your gifts, between you and the soul of your work, between you and the people your work is for, between the soul of your work and the people your work is for, etc.
How these relationships show up in the meditation shows you what is working and what is not working and gives you the ESSENCE of what you need next.
In my work I create structures for you to do DEEPER and MORE EFFECTIVE Dream Work and Inner Work. This gives you the vision, clarity, and capacity to know how to move forward with the outer work in your unique way.
How you do the outer work of marketing and sales really should be DEEPLY ROOTED in your inner relationship with your gifts and the soul of your work and your own values. I think doing the DEEP ROOTING first makes it easier to know which tactics and strategies to use.
If you are self employed offering your gifts to the world: this deeper creative + spiritual practice will give you more insight than reading the latest info about how to hack the algorithm.
If you are offering your gifts NOT as a business: this practice will still give you insights about how to do this in ways that work better for you and fit your life.
If you wish you were offering your gifts but it all feels so overwhelming that you don’t know where to start: start with this. There is a place inside you where you DO know that yo are ready and you DO know some ways to start, let’s give that part of you some space to express itself.
